    Relapsing fever is bacterial infection characterized by recurring episodes of fever, headache, muscle and joint aches, and nausea. It is caused by certain species of Borrelia spirochetes. There are two types of relapsing fever: Tick-Borne Relapsing Fever and Louse-borne relapsing fever.
